The Department of Respiratory Medicine provides comprehensive consultative and investigative services for children with respiratory disorders. It incorporates the Chest and Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis and Sleep Clinics, Outreach Clinics in Canberra and Orange, as well as providing patient care and consultations.Respiratory Medicine has two diagnostic units: - Respiratory Function Unit (RFU)
The RFU contains a Respiratory Laboratory where respiratory function tests are performed. Offices of the Clinical Nurse Consultant for Asthma Education and Cystic Fibrosis Clerk are found within this area. - David Read Sleep Unit (SU)
The David Read Sleep Unit (SU) is a four-bed unit specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders.
