| Location: | Children's Assessment Centre, Outpatients building, level 3 | The Physical Disability Clinic offers a consultancy service for children and adolescents with predominantly physical disabilities that are congenital or acquired early in life (such as those children with Cerebal Palsy). The clinic assists in coordinating the child's needs by providing consultations, advice and support to parents and families, health professionals, teachers and others who are involved in the care of children with physical disabilities. We coordinate referral to other specialised services and programs where appropriate. Who can attend the clinic?Intake criteria are available for the clinic. What do we offer?- Information regarding diagnosis and disability.
- Consultation and advice regarding feeding; fine and gross motor skills; developmental progress; handwriting and classroom skills; equipment needs; splints and orthoses; education and schooling; bladder and bowel management; activities of daily living; medical needs.
- Liaison with orthopaedic team at the time of surgery
