The Nursing Research and Practice Development Unit (NRPDU) was established at the beginning of 2005 when Valerie Wilson was appointed to the directorship of the new unit. The unit co-ordinates the various nursing research endeavours of the hospital as well as using the principles of practice development to assist in the evolution of the service we provide. The unit has collaborative links with the University of Sydney and Monash University.

Aim

We aim to provide the clinical nursing staff of the hospital with reliable resources to enable the production of high quality research and nursing care. We do this using the principles of practice development.
