The upgraded machine is functional and operational
The performance of the machine varies for different cells. The machine will sort up to 40,000 cells/ sec with a pure population. For impure populations it will sort at up to 12,000 cells/ per second which is a major improvement on the 3000 cells/ per second rate before upgrade.
FACSDiva Cell Sorter:
• The Cell Sorter is located in the WMI Flow room 2013.
• Bookings for cell sorts can be made by contacting the Flow Unit Staff. Please make sure that you obtain a biosafety questionnaire form, from the flow unit 2-3 weeks prior to your first booking.
CELLQuest Workstation Locations:
WMI: Flow Room 2013,
Level 3- Room 3014 and 3013.
ICPMR: Flow Room 2071.
ICPMR: Renal dept
Childrens’ Hospital: Clinical Sciences- SPOT Room
Please use the workstations provided in your own area for analysis purposes.
