Microscopy Resources

The microscopy resources pages contain information about the Microscopy Facility in the Research Building at the Children's Hospital at Westmead. This facility provides consultation, equipment, services and training for:

• Optical and fluorescence microscopy
• Confocal microscopy
• Live cell imaging
• Laser Capture Microdissection Microscopy
• Digital imaging and image analysis
• Development of techniques and experimental design

Expertise in microscopy and imaging techniques and use of all the equipment in the facility is available on a consultation basis. All new users are trained by the microscopist before using equipment. Full training is provided as required. Once trained, individuals are given access to book the instrument via the online booking system.
