Telehealth

Since its inception in 1996 the NSW Telehealth Initiative has excited consumers, clinicians and health professionals by dramatically expanding access to health care services across NSW. The Telehealth network extends to 160 public health service facilities across NSW. The network stretches from Tibooburra to Tweed, Broken Hill to Bombala and Coonamble to Camperdown.

Telehealth offers communities increased availability of services, accessibility to specialist services and relative affordability. For health care professionals, Telehealth offers collegiate networking, supervision, peer support and training.

As the NSW Telehealth network continues to expand there has been growing interest from community / consumer organisations, patients, carers, clinicians and health administrators both national and international, regarding the options Telehealth can offer in regard to service access and quality. In response the NSW Telehealth Initiative has developed a brochure 'Connecting you to health' for consumers and another for health professionalsAdobe Acrobat PDF
