The Cognitive Therapist works closely with the child/young person, their family and school to develop strategic approaches to assist the child/young person to develop new skills and compensate for difficulties being encountered at home and/or school. Some examples of areas that may be addressed by the Cognitive Therapist include: planning and organisational problems related to homework management; diary training; the development of computer skills and study skills.
