Professional background

Tony attended the Catholic College of Education North Sydney, NSW and achieved a Diploma in Nursing. Graduated in 1987. Tony first worked at Westmead Hospital in Neurosurgery where he had stints of Acting Nursing Unit Manager until he moved in 1996 to Commercial Travellers Ward (Neuroscience)at the Children's Hospital at Westmead. His role of Clinical Nurse Specialist Neurophysiology commenced in 2001.

Special interest

Tony's main interest is Paediatric Epilepsy especially the surgical component. He works with Deepak Gill in the coordination of the pre-surgical work up which includes Video EEG Monitoring, Ictal and Interictal SPECT scans, PET scans and Neuropsychology

Positions of responsibility

  1. Coordination of Epilepsy Surgery Programme
  2. Sedation (both Chloral Hydrate and Triple Sedation (Chloral Hydrate, Pethidine, Droperidol) for EEG's
  3. Administration of Nitrous Oxide for the Nerve Conduction Study/Electromyography Clinic
  4. Triaging of patient calls.
