Nursing Clinical Placements

The Children's Hospital at Westmead is committed to the development of the paediatric nursing profession at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Clinical placements are provided for nursing students in diverse clinical settings. In accordance with NSW Health policy, first priority for access to clinical placements is granted to NSW students. Following the allocation of places to NSW universities, requests for placements from interstate and overseas nursing students will be considered. Expressions of interest should be submitted by 31st October for consideration for placement in the following year.

Please note that The Children's Hospital does not have accommodation available for students. Students undertaking placements at The Children's Hospital will need to make their own arrangements for accommodation.
