| Method of referring |
Referral from managing paediatrician required. A letter to named consultant with clear statement of goals of assessment and a completed CDU referral form (attached) to be provided for Intake proceeds. All referrals will go through an Intake process to discuss and prioritise appropriate assessment and service required.
- Primary and secondary services should be previously utilised and information /reports provided.
- All enquiries regarding making referral to child Development Unit can be discussed with the Intake officer of the day.

CDU is a tertiary diagnostic and assessment centre providing comprehensive multidisciplinary service to children with complex developmental problems. |
| Special Interests |
Developmental disorders e.g. severe language impairment, autism, neurodevelopmental disorder associated with medical conditions requiring neuropsychological assessment, complex learning difficulties associated with comorbidity.
