Principal's Message

The Children's Hospital School is a Department of Education and Training (DET) school which provides an educational service for school aged patients. Our teaching and support staff enable students to continue an educational program and keep in touch with their "home school". School activities are designed to complement the child's day in the hospital. We work collaboratively with hospital teams, home school, families and the student.

Children attend school in a classroom, or receive schooling at the bedside. Our school hours and holidays are similar to those of all DET schools. We are a well resourced school and have wonderful support from DET and the hospital community.

We warmly welcome all children to The Hospital School.
