Radio Bed Rock
Our very own radio station run by volunteers
Our patients can come to the studio, hang out and listen to the music, request songs or maybe even meet a celebrity. For the patients that are on the ward an unable to visit the studio they can watch what's going on in the studio on there very own TV. There is also a phone beside the bed so kids can ring the Radio Bed Rock request line to request a song or enter a competition. It's pretty wacky and lots of fun.

About our volunteers
Our volunteers range in profession from lawyers to nurses to students, all with the common interest of helping the children. Being a Volunteer with Bed Rock allows people to feel a part of a dedicated team creating a fun evening for all patients & siblings to enjoy.
All volunteers are involved directly with the children. It is part of the Bed Rock Volunteer brief that at all times they try to make all children feel a part of the Bed Rock fun.
The very foundation of Radio Bed Rock is built on the trust and character of volunteers who give up their time, talent & energy for the benefit of children who need cheering up.
Volunteers are the backbone of Radio Bed Rock and keep the studio running 52 weeks a year. With a deep commitment to the Children's Hospital each Volunteer gives an average commitment of 2 hours per week. All of us here at Bed Rock are dedicated to creating a fun & exciting environment for the patients & siblings.
