Carols in the Caves to help kids with Cancer

The Jenolan Caves Reserve Trust has teamed up with the Active 4 Kemo Kids to spread a little extra Christmas cheer to kids living with cancer and their families.

The 2006 Community Carols, held in the spectacular Grand Arch at Jenolan Caves, will raise money to support K4KK - Active 4 Kemo Kids, a national fundraising appeal for the 700 Australian children diagnosed with cancer each year. NSW beneficiaries include the Oncology Unit at The Children's Hospital at Westmead and Camp Quality. To date K4KK has already raised sufficient funds to create the first paediatric tumour bank in the Southern Hemisphere, located at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. This facility makes a profound difference to cancer research across Australia, helping to improve diagnosis and clinical treatment.

This unique concert event, held on Saturday 16th December, will feature the talents of much loved Play School presenter and Active 4 Kemo Kids patron, Benita Collings; Jenolan's ‘singing guide' Domino Houlbrook-Cove; Lithgow Musical Society Chorus; swing band Zyppaklubb, The Children's Hospital at Westmead's loveable mascot Bandaged Bear and a special visit by Santa Claus himself!
