Shanti's Backyard Makeover

On Sunday night - 23rd April, 2006 at 6.30pm Channel 9's Backyard Blitz program featured one of our very special patients. 5 year old Shanti Woodend had her garden blitzed by the amazing Backyard Blitz Team.

Shanti is a regular patient at The Children's Hospital at Westmead in Sydney where we treat her for Vater Syndrome.

Many children with Vater Syndrome have serious kidney problems. In order to help children like Shanti, The Children's Hospital at Westmead has established the Kidney Gene Bank to find better ways to treat these children.
