Meet the 2007 'Kalendar Kidz'...
Kidz Kalendar 2007 is a unique publication featuring inspirational photographic images of children at The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
Comprising photographs by award winning Cumberland Newspaper Group photographers, the calendar provides a rare insight into the lives of patients as they receive treatment for a range of medical conditions. Courageous for the challenges they have already overcome in their young lives, these "Kalendar Kidz" know only too well the struggles and triumphs faced by our patients and their families every day.
The photos depict some of the lighter moments of life at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, including Australia Day celebrations, playtime in the hospital gardens and a special hug with mum & dad.
Now in its 7th year, the Kidz Kalendar is the brainchild of Neurologists and Neurosurgeons at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. All proceeds from the sale of this calendar benefit the T.Y. Nelson Department of Neurology/Neurosurgery, with funds used for ongoing training programs for Paediatric Neurologists and to purchase equipment to diagnose and treat children with neurological conditions.
By supporting the Kidz Kalendar, the public can help make a difference to the lives of patients at The Children's Hospital at Westmead and help create a brighter future for sick kids.
Kidz Kalendar 2007 is available from The Children's Hospital at Westmead Volunteer's Shop, Kids Chemist and selected newsagents. It is also available to purchase online at www.bandagedbear.com.au or by calling 1800 770122.
