Ships Ahoy at The Children's Hospital at Westmead
Bring in the Marines... that's right, 46 Marines from the US Marine Forces Pacific Band are in Sydney to perform at a number of events including the Glebe Music Festival on Saturday 26th November in Glebe.
As a very special treat, they will be visiting patients at The Children's Hospital at Westmead on Thursday 24th November at 2.00pm.
A 5 piece ensemble will be performing for the patients in the Starlight Express Room and then the Marines will be visiting the patients on the wards. Something the children will enjoy greatly.
SBS Radio Hosts 'Families In Need' Radiothon with CHW and AUSTCARE
SBS Radio is hosting a national radiothon in partnership with The Children's Hospital at Westmead and AUSTCARE to raise funds for medical research and families in need from 15 to 30 October 2005.
Coinciding with Anti-Poverty Week and Children's Week, listeners in more than 25 languages will be able to pledge donations that will be split between The Children's Hospital at Westmead and AUSTCARE.

Disney On Ice Presents 'Princess Classics'
The Children's Hospital at Westmead is delighted to have received 50 tickets for long term patients and their parents to the first show of the Disney On IceSM production of Disney's Princess Classics at the Sydney SuperDome on Wednesday 13th July - 2.30pm.
The Children's Hospital at Westmead wins prestigious award
The Children's Hospital at Westmead was last night awarded with an iAward for innovative development in health care. This award recognises a ten year journey, alongside NSW Health, creating the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
The award was presented by the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) in conjunction with CSIRO ICT Centre.
2005 Health Budget
The Children's Hospital at Westmead will receive funding for a total of 16 additional beds as part of this year's $10.9 billion health budget, Health Minister Morris Iemma said today.
Mr Iemma said the NSW Government was responding to the growing demand for medical care by increasing the Children's Hospital budget by 6.3% this year to $163 million, an increase of $10 million.
