Sophie's Backyard

Sophie Delezio is one of the two little girls seriously injured when a car ran into her day-care centre in Fairlight, Sydney on December 15, 2003.

After six months at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, and many operations, Sophie went home in June, however Sophie continues to visit the Hospital several times a week, and will need many more operations in the coming years.

If you saw the Backyard Blitz story about Sophie's backyard being made over by Jamies Durie and the Blitz team, which aired on Sunday 8th August on Channel 9, or have read about her in the Australian Women's Weekly, you can help other children like Sophie by donating to the Burns Unit of The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
