Here Come the Champions! - Paralympians Continue to Inspire

Australian Paralympians, Tristan Knowles, Jessica Smith, Kylie Gauci, Eliza Stankovic and Louise Sauvage will visit The Children's Hospital at Westmead on Wednesday 6th October at 10.30am to meet some of their biggest fans.

Tristan Knowles was a cancer patient here at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. Tristan had his leg amputated as a young boy due to bone cancer. His doctor and staff who cared for him are so proud of him and looking forward to seeing him again.

Tristan, Kylie, Eliza and Louise competed at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games and all won medals.

Tristan and other Paralympians can well understand some of the challenges some of our patients are faced with every day due to illness or injury.

It's very inspiring for the patients to see people who have achieved so much in similar situations.
