"Circle of Friends"
Westfield Shoppingtown, Parramatta, is the venue for a new donor recruiting drive run by The Children's Hospital at Westmead from June 7 to June 15.
Staff from Cornucopia Consultancy - developers of the fundraising program - will act as authorised Hospital "Ambassadors". These Ambassadors will be located at a Children's Hospital stand providing information and assistance to donors who want to support the Hospital's "Circle of Friends" monthly pledge program. Shoppers and residents will be given the opportunity to become a "Friend" by pledging a set amount of money on a regular basis towards the Hospital through an automatic credit card or bank account deduction.
According to Greg McCauley, Fundraising Manager, the Hospital is keen to build support in its local community in Western Sydney. "The generosity we've experienced in the area historically has been extremely positive," said Greg.
"This has particularly been the case in seeing many people volunteer at the Hospital and through other fundraising events. Many of the residents here are well aware of the good work of The Children's Hospital at Westmead. A regular deduction will make it easier for people to put their money where their heart is, on an on-going basis." Members of the Circle of Friends will form an integral part of the lifeline of generosity which sustains the good work of The Children's Hospital at Westmead in Western Sydney and across NSW.
"Being the main hospital providing a full range of essential medical services for children in Sydney means that most people in Western Sydney are well aware of the excellent work of The Children's Hospital at Westmead," said Greg McCauley. "This is a great chance for people who have wanted to contribute to the work of the Hospital to do so."
