Criteria for the CHERI Child Advocacy Award
The CHERI Child Advocacy Award is awarded to a person who, over a long period of time, has exemplified outstanding commitment to the health, welfare and/or development of children. The purpose of the Award is to recognise individuals who have committed themselves to the improvement of children's lives in any of a number of areas. Of special interest are people who have undertaken their work in the areas related to CHERI’s focus, that is, in the relationship between children’s health and education, and/or their health and development. In order to keep the options for nomination as open as possible, the following guidelines provide a broad framework as it is expected that the nominations will be from a number of different professional and nonprofessional fields and for a variety of contributions.
