Buy a Bandaged Bear to help sick kids
The 12th annual Bandaged Bear Day Appeal kicks off during March to raise funds for The Children's Hospital at Westmead. Bandaged Bear Day is the major fundraiser for the Hospital and the event raises essential funds to provide specialist care for the sick children of NSW and beyond. The Children's Hospital at Westmead's Bandaged Bear Day Appeal begins on Monday March 19 when the $3 clip-on bears go on sale. The highlight of the Appeal is Bandaged Bear Day, which will be held on Friday March 30. The Hospital hopes to raise over $1,000,000 from the sale of the bears, who are wearing funky pink jackets in 2001.
Over 29,000 in-patients and over 500,000 outpatients from all over NSW are treated at The Children's Hospital at Westmead each year. The funds raised through Bandaged Bear Day 2001 will greatly assist the Hospital in treating these patients, particularly those from rural areas and those needing rehabilitation or pain management services.
Don't miss out on purchasing your own Bandaged Bear in 2001 and showing your support for the sick kids of NSW. Bandaged Bears will be sold at CityRail, Raine & Horne, Kmart, Westpac, IGA, Amcal Chemists, Payless Shoes, HCF, Auto One, Strathfield Car Radios, David Jones, Premier Parking and participating schools and community groups.
