Calling all Bear Brokers!

The kids from The Children's Hospital at Westmead are calling for plenty of helpers for the 12th annual Bandaged Bear Day Appeal 2001. It will be all hands on deck as the Hospital plans to raise over $1,000,000 through the sale of cute clip-on bears dressed in funky pink jackets.

A team of volunteers will be formed to visit events and functions around Sydney selling Bandaged Bears. These volunteers will be a special team, representing the kids of The Children's Hospital at Westmead and will greatly assist the fund-raising campaign.

Volunteers are also needed to sell Bandaged Bears in their spare time. You can let your imagination go wild and try selling Bandaged Bears to friends, family, workmates, sporting teams, neighbours and at church - there's no end to the possibilities!

By helping out as a volunteer for the Bandaged Bear Day Appeal, you will be raising funds to greatly assist The Children's Hospital at Westmead to treat thousands of patients each year. Many of these patients are from rural areas and need specialist treatment such as rehabilitation or pain management.

The Bandaged Bear Day Appeal kicks off on Monday March 19 when the $3 clip-on bears go on sale. The highlight of the Appeal is Bandaged Bear Day, which will be held on Friday March 30.

If you can spare time to sell Bandaged Bears during March, the kids at The Children's Hospital at Westmead would love to hear from you. Please contact Melanie Leitch on (02) 9845 3481 or via email at melaniel@chw.edu.au.
