Everyone has a favourite teddy bear. Teddy bears come in all shapes and sizes, but one thing they all have in common is that they all love picnics! So why not spoil your teddy bear and bring him to the best picnic of all, the Teddy Bears' Picnic at the Sydney Superdome on Sunday September 16, 2001 from 10.30am to 4pm.

The Children's Hospital at Westmead has been holding this special picnic for the past 21 years and it has become the ultimate place for kids of all ages to come along and enjoy a fantastic day of fun - with their favourite teddy bear of course! This year it is going to be an extra special picnic as it will be held at the famous Sydney Superdome and will feature some fantastic things to see and do.

The best part about the Teddy Bears' Picnic is that it will be a winner, rain, hail or shine, thanks to the covered Superdome which allows all activities to go ahead despite the weather. Activities will include face painting, rides, stalls, performers, sporting activities, arts and crafts, a special bear clinic and the awesome centre stage shows featuring some of the biggest celebrities from music and television. The non-stop entertainment is sure to keep kids of all ages entertained.

The Children's Hospital hopes to raise over $100,000 from the Teddy Bears' Picnic. This money will be used to treat 29,000 inpatients and 530,000 outpatients we see every year, including those who require specialist treatment for burns, diabetes and renal disease.
