Cuppa For Kids
On Friday 1st December enjoying a great cuppa will take on a whole new significance.
Friday 1st December will be the first ever Cuppa for Kids. Select cafes, clubs and hotels will donate 50 cents from each hot drink sold to the Children's Hospital at Westmead. Participating businesses will display instore posters highlighting their support for the Appeal - encouraging people to buy their cuppas there... maybe even two!
Over 1000 businesses have been targeted to participate in this event and we hope to raise over $100,000 which will benefit areas at the Hospital such as the Cardiology Department and Day Surgery. If your favourite coffee shop doesn't have a poster, tell them about the event and encourage them to get on board.
Prof Oates, Chief Executive, the Children's Hospital at Westmead said, "We are really excited about Cuppa for Kids. Making a difference to a sick child's life is as easy as having a hot cup of something. Funds raised from Cuppa for Kids are essential for us to continue the world class work that we do at the Children's Hospital at Westmead. I encourage everyone to have a cuppa at a participating business on 1st December and a big thank you to all of those wonderful businesses who are supporting the event."
