The Children's Hospital at Westmead provides emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Emergency Department is located opposite the Main entrance (in the Main building, level 2).
The Hospital is located at the corner of Hawkesbury Road and Hainsworth Street, Westmead. If driving, come via Hawkesbury Road, Westmead. Country families should examine these routes. Alternatively, the Hospital is accessible by public transport - bus, train, ferry or shuttlebus.
The Poisons Information Centre can be contacted on 13 11 26 for up-to-date advice on first aid and treatment of poisoning and envenomation.
The Emergency Department is open 24 hours throughout the year. It is located opposite the Main Entrance (in the Main building, level 2). There is no need to call first, just bring your child if they have an emergency problem. Children are seen in order of urgency.
