Wireless, Mobile and In Touch

Tomorrow's hospital is being designed today. Most of what we want to do with clinical re-design, on-line medication management and documenting patient care, demands a solution which is mobile, wireless and close to the patient. A research project is underway to prove the impact that wireless technology supports clinicians in delivering care and saves time. Seven clinicians have volunteered to have their day documented and analysed.

A consortium of health technology suppliers have selected the Children's Hospital at Westmead to demonstrate how wireless mobile technology can make a valuable contribution to patient care. The principal partner is Cisco Systems contributing equipment, services and consulting advice.
