- Document Imaging - Medical Records are scanned and displayed through the clinical workstation, PowerChart.
- Patient Management - Conversion from HOSPAS and integration of patient management and scheduling in the clinical suite of PowerChart.
- Orders and Results Reporting - Implementation of the clinical workstation, PowerChart.
- PACS and RIS - A film-less Radiology Management systems providing clinicians with access to images throughout the hospital
- Critical Care Information System - Point of Care charting including monitoring interfaces to the chart
Current projects
- Patient Management
Benefits realisation phase. New initiatives to extend scheduling into the clinical areas, new functionality to support improved patient flow, enhanced billing practices for outpatient services.
- Unique Patient Identifier
A State pilot for linking patient records wherever services are provided.
- Electronic Health Record
A State pilot for providing key patient information to external clinical groups, such as, GP's, other hospitals and community services.
- Clinical Redesign
This is a major initiative involving all clinical groups to re-design the surgical processes.
- Clinical Documentation
To develop the clinical documentation and processes in PowerChart to support their work. This Program will be conducted over the next three years.
