Joining the Dots...

The Clinical Redesign Team is currently working on a project that maps our patient's peri-operative journey. The journey begins before hospital admission and ends after discharge. In order to get a view of the entire journey over one hundred hospital staff have been involved in mapping the current process.

Getting Involved...

IT is engaged with the Clinical Redesign Team and has participated in the workshops and mapping the current process. Designing new processes knowing that information systems can eliminate duplication and improve communication makes a very compelling case. The manual peri-operative process has over 1500 data items of which 263 are unique. The work of the Clinical documentation project is designed with users.
